Streets, buildings, and shopfronts woven together through overlap and depth, layered in front of and behind one another, like an endless city montage.A montage is both photo and model. Participants will cut, layer, and assemble the Hong Kong street-scape elements they capture or provide—ranging from the newspaper stands in the foreground, to the tenement-row arcades in the midground, and to the aged signboards and mountain ridge lines in the background. The intentional gaps left between each layer will create a sense of deep, three-dimensional space, making the finished piece feel like a miniature city stage.About Instructor:On Tai, formerly known as Tai Yau-on, has been working as a photographer for more than 20 years. He has been fascinated by tiny things since childhood and gradually developed great interests in making miniatures. In 2017, he organised the “mini movements” hoping to share and concern for people with mobility problems or those in needed and promoted miniature to the younger generation in Hong Kong through visits.
